Which size will fit?
We want you to feel comfortable. In order to consider anatomical characteristics, we created raijn in two different sizes for both women and men. There are differences in waist width and sleeve and leg lenght. The waist drawstring for women sizes goes around completely while for men it’s just placed in the back area. Also the waist level for women is higher and the sleeves and legs are a bit shorter. For standart size of XS to M you will take the smaller grade (S/M), standart size of L to XL the larger one (L/XL). raijn is made to be worn while keeping your shoes on.
– Our female model is 5 feet 8 inches tall, has a dress size S and wears the smaller version (S/M for women). Our male model is 6 feet 1 inches tall, usually wears size from M to L and wears the smaller raijn (S/M for men).

Is raijn officially tested?
raijn and its performance has been severely tested by true cyclists, during many daily trips under the rain. We took our bikes for long distances and tried the undressing and switching between coat and overall dozens of times. Also we analysed different types of reflector stripes and tested them by night in front of car headlights. Another focus was the consideration of anatomical characteristics to ensure a perfekt fit for both women and men. And yes, we actually simulated different types of moisture with rain machines.

What about the name »raijn«?
raijn derives from the Japanese weather and thunder god Raijin (雷神). As one of the eldest gods he’s responsible for all the bad weather in Japan. According to Buddhism Raijin represents the forces of nature and is actually seen as a good spirit. So we transport this positive attitude and see rain as an opportunity rather than misfortune.

Care instruction: is raijn washable?
You can wash your raijn at 30° C in the gentle cycle. Consider, the care of your raijn will have an impact over the lifetime. Product care is a fundamental aspect of sustainability. The best way to remove stains and other dirt is to do it manually and airing. Periodic, wiping of the surface will ensure the breathability and intensity of the colors.

Is the material breathable?
It’s very breathable. The microporous 3-layer-membrane ensures a breathability of 25.000 gr/m²/24h. Furthermore we integrated an intelligent ventilating system under the arms and on the back.

Will I be seen by night?
Especially at night good visibility by bike is indispensable.That’s why we placed reflector stripes on all the vital areas. There are reflectors on the hood, the upper body and also on the back. Additional we placed stripes on the arms, thigh and calves. So you will even be seen in movement.

How do I adjust my shoe covers?
One fits all. The shoe covers are integrated in the front pocket of the fanny pack. Thank‘s to elastic cords the one-size overshoes can easily be put on and fit any type or shape of shoe.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
